Adult Sunday School Classes Forest Hills has eight adult church school classes offering a range of curriculum, teaching styles, and age groups. Classes often have social activities and are active in missions outreach. 
 

Adult Bible Studies Various adult Bible studies are offered on an ongoing basis. These include the popluar 32-week Disciple series, Jesus in the Gospels, Christian Believer, Beth Moore studies, and others. Classes are generally held in the evenings or Wednesday mornings.
Book Club meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Church Library. The monthly discussions are informal, and all perspectives and comments are respected and welcomed.  Even if you can only attend occasionally, you are invited to join us.
 
Moms Group is for mothers of preschool and school-age children. They meet once a month for Christian fellowship and spiritual enrichment. Check the Church Calendar for scheduled meetings.
United Methodist Women invite all women to participate in a ministry of spiritual growth, service, and mission. General meetings (which include a luncheon or refreshments) are scheduled periodically throughout the year, generally on the second Tuesday of the month. Circles (smaller fellowship groups within the UMW) meet about nine times a year. There are three day Circles and one night Circle.
 
Nursing Home Devotions Teams conduct an informal devotions on selected days at community nursing homes.
 
Drama Ministry periodically puts on full production dramas and skits for worship services and church functions. Their annual dinner theatre is a big hit.
 
Project C.U.R.E. delivers donated medical supplies and equipment to the most desperately ill and needy people in more than 100 countries around the world. A team from Forest Hills goes to their Nashville faciity on the 3rd Wed. of each month and spends several hors helping pack donated medical supplies.
 
Mattie Pearl Regen Scholarship Fund This fund was established in 1991 in memory of Mattie Pearl 'Sis' Regen, a lifetime member of Forest Hills to provide higher education scholarships to Forest Hills UMC church members based on grades and financial need. The Fund has awarded scholarships to 17 students totalling $76,550 since 1994. Scholarships are awarded each June for the following academic year. JubiLee Scholarship Fund To celebrate the lives of Diane, Allison and Amy Lee and their commitment to public education, the Jubilee Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 for deserving seniors graduating from public high schools. The scholarship funds are for students who are in the top 20 per cent of their graduating class, live in the seven county Nashville area, and whose family income is below the median family income. Contact JubiLee Scholarship website or Rick Regen
 

Habitat for Humanity Build Forest Hills participates in builds in the Nashville area with other churches.
 

Family Life organizes church-wide, intergeneraltion activities including a retreat in the April timeframe, Forest Hills families gather for a weekend of spiritual renewal. Retreat is typically held at the United Methodist Conference Center at Beersheba Springs, Tennessee.
 
Gardening and Landscaping Volunteers care for the landscaping around the buildings including the courtyard and prayer chapel. Donations to the Garden Fund covers the cost of most new plants.
 

Sound and Video Forest Hills has state of the art sound, video, lighting and projection facilities in the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. This ministry supports worship and drama ministries. We also have multi-channel recording equipment and softwre for post event editing of recordings of events which are used by shut-in ministries and others. Worship services and special events are video tapped, and periodically, DVDs produced. Audio and video clips are prepared and placed on the church website. This ministry needs sound, projection, video, and lighting operators for worship services and special events. We can always use expertise in audio/video production to improve the work we do.
